R Cooke being obliged through ill health to give up the chairmanship of this
Club, it was proposed by Mr B C Silcock, second by Mr W Cubitt, that a cordial
and hearty vote of thanks be accorded to him for the courtious (sic) and kindly
manner in which he has carried out the duties of the office for so many years
past. Carried unanimously.
It
was proposed by Mr B C Silcock, seconded by Mr F Clowes, that Mr G Gladden be
the chairman for ensuing year. Carried unanimously.
It
was proposed by Mr E Cooke, seconded by Mr W Faulke, that a cordial vote of
thanks be accorded to Mr W Slipper for his valuable services as secretary of
the club and that he be requested to continue his services for the ensuing
year. Carried unanimously.

very interesting, and it was thought to be desirable to continue the discussion
at the July meeting in order to learn the opinion of these members who were
absent.
